Authorship Policy
The International Journal of NeuroOncology and Therapeutics follows internationally recognized ethical authorship standards to ensure that authorship credit is assigned only to individuals who have made substantial scholarly contributions to the research and manuscript preparation. All listed authors are expected to uphold the principles of academic integrity, transparency, and accountability throughout the publication process.
Criteria for Authorship
An individual qualifies as an author only if they have:
- Made substantial contributions to the conception, design, analysis, interpretation, or execution of the study
- Drafted the manuscript or critically revised it for important intellectual content
- Approved the final version before submission and publication
- Agreed to take responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of the work
Individuals contributing through technical assistance, funding acquisition, administrative support, data collection, or language editing should be acknowledged appropriately and not listed as authors unless they meet the authorship criteria.
Corresponding Author Responsibilities
- Ensure all eligible contributors are appropriately listed as authors
- Confirm that all authors approved the submitted manuscript
- Manage communication between the journal and co-authors
- Ensure compliance with ethical publishing requirements
- Coordinate responses during peer review and publication processes
Changes in Authorship
Requests for addition, removal, or rearrangement of authors after submission must:
- Be submitted in writing by the corresponding author
- Include a clear explanation for the requested change
- Be approved by all listed authors, including any affected authors
The journal reserves the right to reject authorship changes that do not comply with ethical publishing standards.
Authorship Disputes
In cases of authorship disputes, editorial processing may be suspended until the matter is resolved by the authors’ affiliated institutions or appropriate authorities.
Conflict of Interest (COI) Policy
The journal is committed to maintaining transparency, objectivity, and integrity in scholarly publishing. All participants in the publication process must disclose any relationships, activities, or interests that could influence the research, peer review, or publication process.

- Research funding or financial support
- Employment, consultancy, advisory, or leadership roles
- Honoraria, grants, stock ownership, or equity interests
- Patent applications, licenses, or intellectual property interests

If no conflict exists, authors should state: “The authors declare no conflict of interest.”
Editorial and Reviewer Conflicts of Interest
Editors and reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest that may affect their objectivity and must recuse themselves from handling manuscripts where such conflicts exist.
Failure to Disclose Conflicts
Failure to disclose relevant conflicts of interest may result in:
- Rejection of the manuscript
- Publication of corrections or additional disclosures
- Retraction of published articles in serious cases
- Additional editorial actions where appropriate
Ethical Commitment
The journal ensures that all publication decisions are based solely on scholarly merit, scientific quality, ethical integrity, and relevance to the journal’s scope, independent of commercial, financial, institutional, or personal interests.
