Instructions to Authors

Welcome to the International Journal of NeuroOncology and Therapeutics. The journal is dedicated to publishing original and high-quality research that advances knowledge in neuro-oncology, neurotherapeutics, brain tumor research, neurobiology, and related clinical and translational sciences. Authors are encouraged to carefully review the following guidelines before submitting manuscripts.

Editorial Policy

  • The work must be original and not previously published.
  • The manuscript must not be under review elsewhere.
  • The submission must remain exclusive during peer review.
  • All authors must approve the submitted manuscript.
  • All submissions may be screened using plagiarism detection software.

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers.

  • Reviewer selection is managed by the editorial board.
  • Authors may be requested to revise manuscripts.
  • Revisions should include a response to reviewer comments.
  • The review process may continue until editorial approval is achieved.

Appeals and Complaints

Authors may appeal editorial decisions by contacting the editorial office. All appeals are reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief, whose decision shall be considered final.

Article Processing Charges (APC) Policy

  • APCs are charged only after manuscript acceptance.
  • No submission fee is charged.
  • Rejected manuscripts incur no fee.
  • Editorial decisions are independent of payment status.
  • Institutional affiliations, sponsorships, or memberships do not influence editorial evaluation.

Authorship and Contributions

All listed authors must have made significant contributions to the research and manuscript preparation. Any authorship changes after submission require written consent from all authors.

Conflicts of Interest

Authors must disclose any financial, professional, institutional, or personal relationships that could influence the research, interpretation of findings, or publication process.

  • Maximum manuscript length: 20 pages
  • Research Articles: up to 20 pages
  • Review Articles: up to 15 pages
  • Case Reports / Short Communications: up to 8 pages
  • Letters to the Editor: up to 3 pages

Ethics statements are required for studies involving human participants, patient data, clinical samples, or experimental animals.

Ethical Standards

The journal follows the principles and guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to maintain high standards of academic integrity, research ethics, and ethical publishing practices.

Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain copyright of their work. Published articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

Post-Publication Corrections

Requests for corrections, updates, expressions of concern, or retractions are evaluated according to the journal’s correction policies and COPE guidelines to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.
